Ballet - We offer traditional instruction in ballet with the focus being
on strong technique. Every dancer understands that ballet is the
foundation and springboard from which all other disciplines come. Our ballet program
is very strong as we now have two on-staff pointe teachers.
 
Tap -  Tap is one of most enjoyable ways to move ones feet to
music and it has several different avenues to explore. We like to incorporate a little bit of theory in
our classes and the history of tap is both interesting and fun.
Jazz - Many people confuse jazz and modern or simply think they are the same. These two classes are as different as night and day. I have often said that jazz is ballet only divided by 20 with a little more water added. The main difference being in the music and the hands.
Modern Dance - The purpose of this type of dancing is to give expression to all emotions and mental attitudes that can be adequetly expressed through movement. Theoretically, modern dance is based on dynamism and technically, movement is reguarded as the substance of the dance and the body is the instrument. This class is for those who love to move what they feel.
Modern Jazz - In truly melting pot tradition, modern jazz dance is a highly stylized mix of the original jazz dances like the Suzy Q, the bumps, the grind, the slow drag and the snake hips, many named for the dancers that created them, with steps from the subsequent dance crazes of the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. It is a living history history to which each generation has added and left its own trace. With its combination of  syncopated rhythms, body isolations, undulating torso and flat footed steps, this is a great class for those who simply like to hit the dance floor as well as for the more serious dancer.
Mommy and "Me in the other room" - This is a regularly scheduled class that meets twice a week in both the morning and evening that has Mommy dancing and working out in one room while "me" being the kids who come with mommy in the next room singing and dancing and playing musical games. The classes offered for Moms will alternate between the cardio kick boxing, the weighted workouts to music, and Jazz. Now Moms, you have no more excuses to not dance, bring the kids with you!
Bellydancing Fusion - It not only enhances your body, but your mind and spirit as well. The class is called Bellydance Fusion as it combines different styles, from egyptian caberet to tribal.
Mommy and Me - This is a great way to introduce your little one to dance. We start with technique at the bar with Mommy being "the bar", then move on to music games, singing, and establishing and picking up rhythms, with the focus being on proper foot placement as much as it is on just having fun moving to music. This is a fun and educational way to spend quality time with your little one. 
Musical Theater Dance Class-We have such a great time while learning the 16 basic steps required in stage movement. We then take the steps, make them into combinations and style them with music. The students learn auditioning tips and how to think fast on their feet. We explore character in dance as well as stage battle, prat falls, and adaptation or as many call it, the art of "cover". The students, over the course of the year, learn many dances from a number of wonderful Musicals, and end up collaborating with me as we all together choreograph their own piece for our show. MTD  is a combination class that covers, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Tap, Character, and some ballet. As you know, kids in theatre are a wonderful and rare mix of  both the multi-talented and extremely bright and in the classroom setting they form that same bond that you see in the run of a show. Registration for fall classes is Aug. 4th, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Aug. 6th and 7th, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. 803 8th Ave.
Dance "Phit" Aerobics Class begins on Monday the 9th of July and continues Mondays and Wednesdays 5:30 to 7:00, and Tuesday and Thursdays 11:00 to 12:30. $8.00 per class. Instructor Ritchie Allen says: "I started this class in vegas 4 years ago and it was a huge success!! The music alone will keep you pumped! The basic steps are easy. Dance "Phit" is taught "dance class "style, one segment of cardio dance at a time and then it is all put together in the end. The finale is an AB WORKOUT BLAST!!! You do not have to be a dancer, Dance "Phit" is for everyone. You will love the results as you break a sweat and get in shape this summer. It is an hour and a half DANCE PARTY!"
